Quiksilver & Roxy Pro 2016 First Stop of the WSL CT

Matt Wilkinson, Tearing the Snapper Rocks Break apart on his way to the Quiksilver Pro Win

In a fireworks-filled finals day on the Gold Coast Matt Wilkinson claimed his first CT victory and Tyler Wright her second Roxy Pro win. Standout performances from Kolohe Andino, Stuart Kennedy and Filipe Toledo kept the crowd guessing the winner until the very end of the Quiksilver Pro. And Courtney Conlogue pushed Tyler Wright to perform through the entire Final.

The WSL Tour Started with a Bang on the 10/3/16, not of the famous "Superbank" as

unfortunately the world class break known as Snapper Rocks didn't deliver or went to "sleep" as for the previous weeks where it was pumping out Corduroy lines as a result of

Cyclone Winston -

So thanks to the the worlds best Male and Female Surfers as they lit UP Snapper Rocks in the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro's which saw many of the higher seeds fall early to the younger generation.

It was a fantastic opportunity to be involved with this event staking my position on the rock right till the end when the rain timely arrived for the finals. Thanks for the Huge umbrella that came along from behind me and the handout of the "poncho"
